The problem with being *literally* the best at Sackboy: A Big Adventure is that there are such few opportunities in which to demonstrate your hard-won mastery. Luckily, if you consider yourself to be a Sackboy connoisseur, one such instance is fast approaching, and it's the one we Sackheads have all been waiting for; the impending Sackboy: A Big Adventure Knit Speedrun Challenges.
A specific event will be held from June 24-25, in which the top 500 players to place in a global speed-run will each receive PlayStation Plus vouchers valid for 3 months of Premium or Deluxe membership.
In addition, a series of five trial courses will be held between June 2023 - February 2024, with each being tied to a different cosmetic category (head, torso, legs, feet, props). The aim is to beat each as quickly as possible. Leaderboards will keep everything fair, and you can try as many times as you like, so long as the event is still live.
You can check out all the T's and C's over at the event page. As Tournaments are not available on PS4, this offer is only for players on PS5. Will you be competing for Sackboy glory? Let us know in the comments section below.

Have an abject fear of buttons, I’ll pass.
Hm, I platted this a while back, so I can only imagine how hard these trials are going to be. Wonderplane's final challenge is nuts😶
This isn’t enough to entice me to play the game, but I applaud the effort, Sony. I’d like to see more of these kinds of contests, maybe with games I actually am thinking about playing.
Tempting but I'll prob end up not participating.
I love the game, so I'll participate anyway, but I know I won't reach any top scores. Replaying levels for the 100th time just to beat someone by a split second never seemed fun to me. Same with Rayman Legends on psvita. Whenever I play it (it came out in 2012 and it still has a somewhat active community), I struggle to get anything better than a bronze metal.
It's a good game, so I might try the trials. But I'm pretty sure that any randomly-selected 500 teenagers would have better reaction times than me these days.
Kudos to Sony's ableism! Access to all! Play has No Limits!
If only they did this 3 years ago when I actually was playing it and got the platinum. Pretty sure I've lost all my skill at this point
@NeThZOR Not sure if serious. Might as well cancel all competitions, because we don't want to promote "ableism", am I right, or am I right?
I'll have a pop at this. I don't expect to trouble the leaderboards but I'm better than my wife and bestie, lol.
'Ableism' is a thing? How ridiculous, are the rest of us not allowed to use our senses because someone else might be deprived of them? Classic example of someone looking for a reason to be objectionable...
Am I the only one that read the whole first paragraph in Stephen Fry's voice?
@NeThZOR I agree, also „normal“ basketball should be forbidden, wheelchair basketball for everyone!!!!1!
@Buckeye4Life2015 weird, wasn't even out 3 years ago
@NeThZOR and what would you have them do then instead? No answer was the stern reply
@Lolocopters okay, 2 years and 7 months ago. That better?
@Buckeye4Life2015 not even that yet but closer
It's a scam. This tournament is inacceptable.
I completed that PS Plus challenge being top 250 in the world, and a few minutes ago I've discovered I'm not "eligible for the prize" because I live in Italy. I'm destroyed.
